Javascript Implementation

Default Javascript implementation - Script installation

If you have not done so already, you will need to open a  (trial) account to start using our javascript. So once a trial has been opened, you will receive an email with relevant installation instructions. After doing so you can read these installation instructions specific to your website/ webpages. The received script will look something like this (the site parameter will differ per site):
<script src="//"></script>

This javascript will load into the browser, execute and collect data and send it to Opentracker's logging servers ( If you need more information on installing the default javascript, see our  Frequently Asked Questions or download our  User's Guide.

W3C Compliant script version. W3C Compliancy

In order to have a W3C-compliant version of the script, please use this script version. You will notice that the javascript implementation is modified slightly to allow for w3c compliancy. The internal workings of the script is exactly the same. Note: replace "" with your registered site name.
<script language="javascript" type="text/javascript" async src="//"></script>

Events and advanced usage

Before proceeding, be sure to read our  basic introduction page. Once you have the Opentracker javascript in place, you can track any action or event. Opentracker is an event engine, that allows you to send and analyze events. The Opentracker javascript contains functions that facilitate the insertion of events in a datastore. Adding events with properties is very straightforward. If you would like focus on events for structuring corporate data, then please discover our api or contact support for details on how we can help.
